As said in that thread, you can't really tell too much from 1024 x 768 res. Looking on target for a true competitor though.

Until I see those benchmarks on THG with proof that the cards used are thsoe which will be making their ways into PC shops around the globe, I'm not believing a word of this. It might be true but somehow I doubt it.

whats disturbing (for you) in those benchies is how nvidia wins some and ATI wins some...

    its a draw

Do you remember when [H]ardOCP's benchmarks on the 6800/Ultra were leaked? People said those might be fake too; but the WEREN'T.

So you are right, we will have to see, but I would bet that those are real results.

And it's not THAT bad for Nvidia (yet). If you look closely at the results, Nvidia leads in several benchmarks. Not to mention there may be room for improvement with respect to drivers.

Personally, I HOPE that Nvidia's offering is on par with ATi's (within 2-3%). That way we will have a more competitive market (along the lines of 20-25% price differential) if both deliver similar performance. In other words, if ATi is declared the undisputed leader, then ATi's partners will demand MORE for the ATi products, simply because so many people will demand the better product. Our Favorite Internet Journalists (Anand, Kyle ([H]ardOCP), and THG) will educate us and help us make a wise purchase...

Good to see you around Lamsey. I left you a note at your website. I take it you are busy with school, no?

    Take care,

    Adam
