Thread: Monitor Advice?

  1. #1
Due to failing eyesight, I am hoping to be able to hook up a large (21") monitor which I have seen 2nd hand to my Notebook. Not able to buy a flat screen so hoping this would be ok.
Is this possible with my setup, or would I be overloading something?

Setup is:- Compaq Evo 1015v Athlon 2000. 512 Ram. Win XP Pro. ATI Radeon IPG video graphics with 16MB DDR SDRAM.
    Many Thanks for any help.

yes any size monitor will be fine. the power isnt coming from the computer, its coming from the wall outlet, so you have no worries about overloading anything.

ur not really gettings the power from the psu though, its just a direct connection from the input power to the output that u plug in the monitor too...

i guess its to reduce clutter, but in some people's configs it might actually make more clutter.

Yes have increased font to practical maximum, but time has come for extra screen size. Old age very sad.....haha
