    wasn&#39;t new when I got it though.

    It was still damn cool in the eighties. Then it was unique as well.

    Became even cooler with a piece o&#39; cardboard strapped to the front tyre.

    I had one of those plastic beer mat things or a quenchy cup(anyone remember them? ). In saying all this I had a grifter, with a cool electronic horn that had a button you attached next to the grips on the handlebars....man those were sturdy bikes B)

    I too had a bloody raleigh 20....mine was a nightmare to pedal and I hated the basket thingy...I wanted a racer meself.....

    did you ever transport anyone in the basket, or did you have a cool teddy with speed goggles and a racing jacket up front?
