    is anyone having trouble connecting to the internet (ntl customers only), when they use IE, i can connect through mozilla but not IE

    try reinstalling IE that might work

    how do i do that

    EDIT: its ok i've sorted it, my LAN settings were incorrect, problem resolved!

    Yes that's what I had to do when I first joined NTL a year ago. I had to phone up the technical support, because I didn't realise it runs over a LAN and I had to tick that box in the internet options.

    thats surprising sparkle, because i had to untick the box, the problem was that the box was ticked!!

    yeah, i just couldn't remember whether the box was ticked or unticked.

    Do you mean Proxy settings? If its ticked you will have problems if the proxy address is inaccessable or slow.

    My friend had this problem, and i knew the reason why immediately. He connected to a server through a bad proxy thats why he's connection was very slow.
