proxies are a waste of time. they go down faster then a french striker when you actually try to use them.
they are probably your only option if you have been banned from somewhere and want back in. but they can ban the ip of the proxy quicker then you can change them i bet.
@wolmight they can block the ip of a proxy service
only if you act like an ass or hint to your old identity with it..
otherwise play it cool and act like an outsider.

One of the best things about hiding your IP address is when you are buying over the internet. The price lists are given on the basis of IP. If you hide yours you can often get a much better deal. Try Kazza Anon

noooooo sorry u are wrong there ;-)
if u mean shipping and handling: that is calculated based on where u live (std. addy)
nothing price-based on the net uses ur IP to determine a price. nothing at all. i have no idea where u got the info from

if i want to buy music off napster.com i cant becuase im in the uk. it will just redirect me to napster.co.uk which is not up yet.
if i used an american proxy it would let me buy from them.
and i have seen places like hertz charge different rates for car hire if your from a differnet place.

EMMMMMMMMM NO I am afraid you are wrong, each time you visit certain sites they find out roughly who u are and where you come from. Using a different address means that you will be offered a different price list. I genuinely know this, if you choose to think I am either wrong, lying or whatever the choice is yours. But try it or do some research, knowledge is a wonderful tool.

Hammer Smashed Face
just sign up for AnonX. i use it, and it works nicely, but it costs a few bucks a month for use. like about 9 bucks (usd)....no biggie. OH, and its simple to use, you just double click the icon they give ya on the desktop, click connect, and thats it.
i have tried all the free proxies, and they are too much trouble (IMO) to keep track of.
(and yes, i do know that anonx connects through a VPN, which can be configured in windows) but hey, they let ya download a pre-configured desktop icon to make it easy for everyone
