I am pretty sure the only way to get a analog signal to your computer is to use a video capture card. I know that there is an ATI card that can do it for about $70 on pricegrabber.com.

You can also do cable/sattilite to DVD I've heard... Ripp the stuff right from the broadcasting..
heh, some people should broadcast channles online fo free useing they're cable or sattilite channles haha..
maybe it could be little lower qual and smaller size, but it would be neat.

The audio would go in the Audio inputs on your sound card. The video would go in the Video inputs on your video capture card. However the files would need to be converted to DVD, so basically, its almost impossible without the correct tools.--

The video capture cards will also get the audio from the tv or vcr or a camcorder. Most I think will hook up with an audio video cable or the coaxial cable that your cable tv comes in on.
