I've found that changing the port number in your Options>firewall tab can help with slow connect times.
Just add add a single digit to the existing number (provided the existing number is <6000 and is a 4 digit number).
The next time it's slow take away the number you first thought of.

Now it connects to the server, I can search and whatnot, but it can never connect to a user. This isnt good
how do you connect to the internet and what kind of firewall do you have?? router or anything??
I use a router, and wireless internet, but I have already forwarded all the ports..

Yeah, Ive tried that, It can't detect my LAN IP.. It doesnt really work.
