^would've been cool.
i think with .msi files u can enter the full path of the file and add a "-x" w/o quotes into the "run" box. (i.e. E:\folderX\folderY\anyApp.msi -x)
it works with the sp1 network install...
also if it is a rar-based setup file, u can open it in winRAR

its the new yahoo messenger when I run the installer it dont work so I need a way to extract the files and them methods dont work because its not a rar/zip setup and that -x doesnt work either

Try extracting with winrar.

try opening with winzip or winace, ive found that some open, others dont.

Try looking in your Windows\Temp just before it starts to load most files end up here,if there just copy/paste out to a folder then cancel the program load up.
