What does everyone else think about this?

I think that it is considered a sport. It takes a great deal of concentration and skill to play this game. To play it and play it well is very challenging.

I play Texas Hold Em' Poker regularly and it's one of my favorite card games to play. Playing in the casino when real money is one the line is nerve racking.

If bowling is considered a sport I would think that Poker would be to.

I dunno, it's not a real sport but I suppose it can be in some peoples eyes. I watch a bit of poker onn the TV and it's fun to watch and usually has reasonably large audiences.

Poker is not a sport. Just because it's on ESPN doesn't make it so.

It involves nothing physical besides not having a tell.

Bowling is a sport. It is physical.

    Sport:

    1 a : a source of diversion : RECREATION

It is a sport by definition, but the particpants are not

    "Atheletes"

A person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina

So this brings us to bowling.

Bowling, darts and billiards require precision and practice, but do not require strength, agility or stamina.

Maybe they could be call "precision sports"?
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?

I'd like to see you stand throwing bowling balls for hours on end.

Bowling can't be a real sport. There's no sport where you can eat corn dogs and drink beer all night and it not affect your play.

If you tried playing poker while drinking beer all night you'd be a broke drunk. I love it when people come into the casino all drunk and decide to play it makes it real easy to take their money.
