You know I really do not know why I have Road Runner Cable. I understand about the speeds with p2p but I also try to download files from mirc, which you get them directly from that person. So, why can I only get download speeds like 38kbs 0r maybe a little higher. Isn't it supposed to be higher like up in the 200's? Someone help me understnad this or explain a good reason why I can't get this. Why should I pay $50 a month for service that I am not happy with?

So, what you are basically trying to tell me is that in order to get a great download speed i need to download from someone that is using cable or higher? Another question...Most ppl who have files and that put them on mirc supposed to be using cable or higher?

I use to use mirc. It's only advantage is that most of the files you find on kazaa were there first.
Oh...And you can find people with some very selective archives.
Like if you're into older movies, or porn or what-have-you, there will be someone to cater to your needs.

The major advantage on kazaa is that you don't have to wait in queue,
You can download one file from multiple users, meaning that even if none of them has cable or above, you can still get decent combined speeds,
and you don't have to worry about what happens if the guy you're downloading from logs off at 87% and you are not able to find him online again.

Mirc is great. Kazaa is better.

mIRC is trash! Down right nasty garbage. Only good for chat and it still lacks good chat funtions. And the scum bag that made it charges people to use it. Tisk tisk tisk people. Don't you regonize a porly designed program when you see it? It's visual design is disgusting.

theres no rule that says you have to have a minimum upload speed of 60kps or higher or what ever, think about what you are saying..
if there were not meany people would be able to use it

here in the uk the fastest *home* internet connection is 1024/256, 256 for uploading which means you can upload at 30kps and download at 130kps(thats in perfect conditions as well.. ) also if 2 people are downloading off of 1 person then there upload speed is shared between both... so 30kps becomes 15kps etc etc
