Copying Dvds

HELP ME I AM NEW TO THE COMPUTER WORLD AND HAVE DOWNLOADED MOVIES FROM KAZAA AND WOULD NOW LIKE TO PUT THEM ONTO DVD. I HAVE A DVD RECORDER BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT I NEED TO GET THEM TO COPY STRAIGHT TO DVD :

U will have to read a LOT of shit before U can master that area....for one thing, the movies U downlaoded r proabaly .avi or .mpg, so U can either burn them straight to the DVD (and only be able to view them on the pc, or convert the video file U downlaoded to DVD format (.vob and some other stuff)....so u can watch the movies through your DVD payer....see how to do all this on this site.
