Nice website with a few screenshots .... looks promising.
I hope they will not make the same misstakes as they did with NFSU.

EDIT: Reminds my that I have to upgrade my hardware.

to me it just looks like an upgrade of the original game. I doubt there will be that much such as damage (even though they cannot put that in it would be cool). I will still proberly get the game though as i loved NFSU

What is the point in being able to add speakers in a racing game? Real underground racers do not have 23 1000W amps and 30 15" subs, they add weight, slowing the car down. A real underground racing game would never have the option of adding speakers/subs...

But you have to admit that it looks cool

Anyway, NFSU has never been much of a REAL car-tuning game, it was more of a visual-style-upgrade game.
Most of the upgrades in NFSU didn't speed up the cars at all (bumber, hood, spoiler ... etc).

I just hope that there will be a variety of nice racing tracks in NFSU 2, not like NFSU where all tracks looked almost the sam (same town).

I'll buy it, however it turns out

No, I think it looks like it was intended to get 12 year old stupid american kids to buy it. It seems to have worked in your case

i'll be a happy bunny if they put horns back in the cars like hp2. nothing better than passing someone online and giving them a quick toot!
