Thread: Be Careful Of Kazaa

1. #1
i was attempting to download a product key from Kazaa for norton Internet security and kept on getting virus's/trojans that surprisingly neither the anti-viruis or trojan worm remover could remove. I eventually removed them after numerous wasted hours, apparently to find out many of my friends have similar problems but could not remove these - that ?? that say they cannot be removed because another user/application is using them.

Its probably not a good idea for the novice user to attempt to download anything Norton from kazaa

Are you new here? It's bad for anyone to download anything through KaZaa.
Try other P2P apps.
BitTorrent
IRC
eMule

There are a lot better and more reliable networks out there.

Alrighty.
You can pretty much find any information you need about each right here on this forum. My personal favorite is BitTorrent. But the ultimate filesharing app is IRC. It maxes out any your bandwidth, and it's been around since the beginning of time.
But IRC is not really for newbies. I would try BT, if I were you.

99.99% of software & or cracks for said such I do NOT get from any P2P.

P2P for software is a last resort.

Is there any difference between them, I've only ever heard of Kazaa before?

They are completely different.
BT downloads in random fragments from as many people as you connect to and once you get a piece, it is shared, so instead of waiting for the whole file(s) to finish to share it, you share whatever fragments you have until you have the whole file(s). So it is referred to as a file swarming protocol.
You start a BT download by going to a site that hosts torrent files, which is just a small document, and clicking on a hyperlink. There are BT apps that can search linke KaZaa, but you usually click on torrent hyperlinks. But to start the downloa, you need a torrent client, which are all free and there are tons of them, now.

You can find out a lot more from the BT section, but BT is not the only protocol. eMule is very popular and a great way to get files that aren't corrupt.

Zeropaid.com has reviews and descriptions of virtually all P2P programs out there.

yes almost every crack\keygen on kazaa that i have ever downloaded from kazaa had a virus. i never get them from there anymore, i find other sourcee...somehow...

files like mp3's, cd iso's, and movies have all been fine for me, although the music is starting to get bad with the screeching noises
