a) Heating - It heats up your room. My room is the hottest in the house by far (can't wait to get into my basement, turn on the ac and it's cool within minutes) so the lower your cpu temp is, the cooler your room will be...this is better in the summer when it is boiling outside.
B) Noise - A quieter CPU means a slower spinning fan, and a slower spinning fan means less noise. Less noise is good.
