An Open Letter To Teh Family,

Things are chanching here in my end so much in coming months
and I think making a Blah topic about it might be Cool. (or not)

Well, we all have Ideas whats a Cool Topic.
Hell, some ppl think bumping up Old Topics with
one liners is Cool.
Or just Reply with one Smiley on any topic is Cool but some ppl
think its sucky, yes, they do and im aware of that too.
Not much i can do without pissing somebody off.
Thats the way Forums are and thats about it.

There really aint much I can do to make this a better place, members do make the Forum as it is.
Good or Bad, thats a matter of Opinion.

As for now, I keep my opinion to myself.

But here's some more "behind the Curtains" stuff: (not much Drama innit)

When 7th was teh new Admin, we did have some Plans about expanding MusicWorld
a bit more,
I did some work at home, like a template in html how i thought i'd like to see here.
I know we got ppl who Makes Music, has bands and all that.

So there was a Plan
(originally it was 7th's Plan, I have had the same thoughts before but probably lacked the Hairy Chest to bring it up)
to make
a subforums here (like SoulSeek is now) where Teh Music Makers could post about their
latest projects and talk about Recording, making Lyrics and what have we.

That plan never took place as some other issues came about and seeing the
atmosphere here and the topics, I dont think now that it would have been a success-story.
So i've given up on it, have not talked with Rookie about it,
and thats all I have to say about that atm.


But for the Real Matter of this Blah:

There is the Coming Months that seems very shady indeed, for me:

Im about to move to a new flat in a new town, as soon as possible.
To pursue my "musical career" so to speak.
I'd like to have a band and in this little town there aint much players to choose from,
well, we got players allright but i have little or no use for Trombone and Tuba players and the likes.
Not many drummers or bassplayers, and if there is, the attirude is
not "right" for me, not too many ppl has time or will to Practise etc, with all the
Real Life Issues like Work and Wifes and such. And that is understandable imo.

I have to go out there to seek fellow players who has same attitudes etc.
I like making music, playing for public is really a lot of fun etc. and it seems I can not
get that going in this town I live in.

As soon as i get a new job in other Big Town in this country, im goint to move out.

That also means that i have No Idea if im going to be able to keep the Moderator thing going.
I would need an Internet and as i dont know where im going etc, its hard to say whats going to happen.
I might even step down from this Mod Job also.

Like lately, for example, we had that Hax0r/Cely Issue and i had really hard time to keep myself
updated on the issues, there came new Topics everyday with 200 whatnot posts, lol,
it does take some hours to read and catch up whats going on.
And as a Mod, thats what is required. I need to go through all these posts before iI can make
my opinion about anything, thats only fair.

Before you start thinking
"Oh, Slinger is about to go off, I want that Mod Job",
you might want to think twice as it is a Job with little or nothing in return
and No, you dont get a set of Hairy Balls or Hair in your Chest or bigger €P33n.
(or bigger hooters if you are a Lady)


You will get, however, Responsibility, a heaps of it, and it seems I
can not Do the Job as I got other plans (in real life) which will require
more of my time.

Well, I regret to say that I wont be hanging about sooo much anymore, but im
going to post in here News about whats going on with my music and whatnot,
as soon as i can. I wont be dissappearing and coming back like a YoYo
as some folks , I will be around, thats a Promise sometimes.

With these words, i'd like to cheer up folks;

G.S. I can understand where your comming from.
I plan on going to school this fall for a networking degree and I'm already
doing the band thing...Plus I have to work and take care of the family.
So I know what it's like to have very little time.

For what it's worth I think you do a fine job as a mod...nice balance
of enforcing the rules and knowing when to let things cool down.
It seems to be a thankless job (one of those where everyone and his
brother thinks they can do better)...But I hope you know that you're
respected for the job you have done.

I will have to play you some of my band latest material.
I still remember the advice you gave me on our last recordings,
and I appreciate that you took the time to listen to them.

You still have the respect from myself and most of the musicworld community im sure...But you have to do what you have to do...And i see a career as a musician as a much better career than being a board moderator

But the plans you have/had for musicworld sounded great...I was trying to do the same thing at another certain forum but that never worked out either...but im sure with a board this size and knowing a fair share of the true members of musicworld...i would think it would be a success...but it will be up to the new moderator of musicworld to whether it would become a possiblity...

I would put my hand up as moderator here seeing i have the qualifications from another forum...but considering a recent banning i doubt very muchly they would give me a shot in a million years...plus as like you slinger...i have no idea where i will be in the near future with living arangements...might be starting a band...but i need a job first...so i gotta get one of those...so i dont think i will be putting my hand up...

Its sad to see someone who supported musicworld so much not being able to be here that much...I think you've done the most work ever in musicworld...and been the most fairest mod to ever come into musicworld...

You better start a pinned thread before you go "Slinger's Latest Music Conquests"...so we know for sure you will keep us up to date with all the events of your musical career...

As far as who should be mod.Who knows.I have my opinion as who should be.But he does not have the time really...I do not think.Who cares really I guess.

HEY! What about me?!


Honestly, I can confirm every word of what Slinger's saying 'bout the "musicans" around here... either they play the tuba or they have FUCKED up priorities.... I mean; who in their right mind wants to spend time with their wife/kids when they could be rockin' away with the boys... not this god anyway! Slinger and I have been trying to get a band thing going around here for as long as I've known him, but it never works out.

Theese days I also have alot of problems around and about MY band (Blofeld), which is related to another big problem in this country (especially in the part we're living); the distances. Considered that 2/3 of the band (the bassplayer and I) are chronically broke, we actually can't afford practising.... not that it matters 'cause it's damn near impossible to get a gig around here anyway as long as one don't play 50s-hits and other danceable homo-pop...

Well that was a little something about band-life in NoWay


It's sure gonna be weird turning on SS or going in here without the Slinger, but we might be able to make it.... however, considering Slingers musical qualities I think we'll all hear more from him in the future no matter where he moves at least I know I'm gonna rip his CD's and put them out for free on SS

About the mod-question I really couldn't care less.... my vote goes to Arm
