He prob created those accounts just for this..2 is bit much though. Maybe he is a rookie Or they're just some old ones he don't use anymore. I have a couple myself. They're nice to have for situations like this.

Hell, he can always create new ones if those get overloaded. Personally, though, I'd have PM'ed him and saved all the trouble.

Downloading & installing the free version of Trillian - Five minutes
Registering new MSN, ICQ and/or AIM accounts through Trillian - Ten minutes
Posting the contact names of those accounts - Two minutes

Being able to talk to involved people in urgent situations without your main IM accounts being public - Priceless
