So would I mate, there is nothing to stop letting the account be used by him. Just take away all of the mod powers and let the chap have his say.

There must be a way to change the password and e-mail the new one to the real person, so we know it's him.

FFS we can't just turn our back on the guy without letting him have his say.

If he doesn't want to that's up to him.

Tho' if it was his known IP I don't really see how it could have been someone else.

Why dont you just come out and and name the guy JJ? Most of us know who you are talking about anyways.
I would like to add that given the issues you had with the person you describe, you really should&#39;nt be pointing he finger in that direction. It is a totally unfounded (and prehaps biased) accusation and will do no good at all.


But back to the topic at hand; I would like to hear from RTJ to find out the other side of the story.

Actually if RTJ&#39;s computer was hacked rather than merely his account getting cracked then it is quite possible that his IP was used to do the bad stuff - even if he wasn&#39;t at the keyboard. I mean a lot of us leave the PC on 24/7, right?

There is a lot of clever software which would enable some malevolent person to operate RTJ&#39;s PC remotely and delete threads. Especially if the software was put there by someone RTJ trusted...

I say this genuinely.

I will have to take your word for that, as the whole sordid area is a mystery to me.

People seem to think that doing things like that make them clever. To me it makes them a prick who is violating someone else&#39;s rights and they are scum.
