cheap dvd drives and cd burners
very easy.Originally posted by threelions00@11 June 2004 - 17:30
i did consider that but i am not sure...how easy is that to do?
but what i would do is network them.
buy a router and 2 network cables, plug modem into wan port on router, plug each computer into a lan port using network cables u bought.
then network them...not hard to do...
kinda takes a while to get the router setup to your net connection, but u only have to do it once...and if u read teh manual it isnt too hard.
@voetsk...i just bought a new PC with all that...
@Rossco...is that really necessary to buy all that stuff...
@spider...tell me more bout this FTP...sounds fun
ftp is the best way to transfer files.
all you need is a network card in both pc's and a green crossover cable. set up a server on one pc, easy to do just get the trial of wsftp pro and set the other one to be the client, again get the trial of wsftp pro_client. get the crack if you intend to use it longer.then you just basically connect to the other machines ip and send the files over.
why not just share a folder then go to network neighorhood\my network places and click teh drive...Originally posted by Spider_dude@11 June 2004 - 18:19

a lot simpler to setup, and use...
threelions, you might be doing everything right in networking them and just have the wrong cable.
You need a different cable to connect the PCs, to that used for access to the internet if your using LAN cards, however they look the same.
An It Harm None, Do What You Will
yes, Crossover cables are what is used to connect two PCs together, a patch, or straight-through cable connects computers to router, hub, switch.Originally posted by Rat Faced@11 June 2004 - 18:53
