that doesn't mean they build teh card, they just build the chip and sell it to other companies to make their own video cards. hence the "powered by ati" and "built by ati" labels...Originally posted by kaiweiler@12 June 2004 - 22:46

Q6600 @ 3.42Ghz | Gigabyte EP35-DS3R | EVGA 8800GT 721/1802/2006 w/ Accelero S1 | 4gb Crucial DDR2 @ 760mhz | 750gb Hitachi 7k1000 | Corsair 520HX | 2 x Samsung SyncMaster T240 24" | Windows 7 Ultimate
I'm glad you two cleared that up for us nOObs .
@Tormentor Dude check the system requirments for the game then double it cause you card can't play it . Hey it sucks but drivers are not going to help you in this case .

yes it has an ati chip, but tormentor said he needs a special driver for his card because it isn't made by ati...
lol, im just as confused as you are, im just arguing his ideas lol.
You confusing me, ATI said the problem was that the card wasnt "Built by ATI" only "Powered by ATI". I checked all there partner websites and found out my card bast built by sapphre. So i installed the drivers they had there and GUESS WHAT? They worked. Now when I play outcast and mohaa it actually lets me play them.

Ya neiter did I, but according to the facts and ATI's website their drivers only work on built by ati cards. Fuckin idiots could have just made the drivers work for all cards. Actually I gues its the manufacturesd fault.

My ideas??? There not mine, they are facts off of ATI's website. You make it seem like I just came up with the idea that a Powered by ATI rage 128 pro needs diffrent drivers. I read that off the site.
