my dad has payed for this when i try to update it all i get it this:

The following Symantec products and components are installed on your computer.
    > LiveUpdate
    > Symantec Common Client Updates

    Initializing...
    Connecting to liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com...

Downloading catalog file (1 of 1), catalog is up-to-date.
All of the Symantec products installed on your computer are currently up-to-date. Remember to check for new updates frequently.
    LiveUpdate session is complete.

No Fred your not crazy . What are the updates once a week? A reinstall some times fixes norton problem's . Don't forget to uninstall from windows add remove . There is three programs to uninstall. Live reg. live update, and norton anti virus . I disconnect from the internet first , then reinstall. But check nortons help first they had a fix for a problem with updating virus definations
