I think its got to do something with the way that men are more receptive to visual stimulation, while women are more receptive to mental stimulation.Originally posted by Chame1eon@15 June 2004 - 04:25
why are there half nude women in advertising and music videos and a lot of porn for men, but nothing for women? Is it society or are women just not interested in this kind of thing. are there any countrys where women are not more chaste? why is it always our responsibility to temper sexual activity?
I just heard that somewhere probably more than one year ago, but it seemed to make sense to me since you rarely see a man with a romance novel or what have you.
There's no 'I' in 'team'. But then there's no 'I' in 'useless smug colleague', either.
And there's four in 'platitude-quoting idiot'. Go figure.
Thats shite and you know it, its a mans world, men have the money therefore

I've heard that too, but i wonder if it's true.
first men are encouraged or at least allowed, here(usa) anyway, to pursue sexual outlets. But women are called sluts told its dirty, thought to be weird, and generally are more discouraged to show sexual interest than men.
Romance novels are more acceptable for women than for men , and they might provide more emotional satisfaction for women, something that men tend not to look for, at leat not openly. (personally i think they're terrible :x )
i wonder if the media and the behaviors of men and women are remains of a time when these social differences were more stricly enforced or just reflect a real diffence in the preferences of men and women.
I only licked you for the salt
Its actually 80% of women fill in surveys... there is mate , you probably dont notice if you're a guy..you have jean ads,boy bands..
@ ch-uk there aren't many, and if you watch music videos probably 70% (a rough estimate) of them have half naked dancing women in them.
@gepper lol yeah i have, and that's the wierd thing, because according to something i read a while ago women buy 80% of houshold goods, and aside from jeans you just don't see many men in commercials.
And 95% of statistics are made up on the spot.
