Thread: Aahhh Crap

    ...is almost finished. Sounds like one of the bearing came loose alittle while ago. Makes sort of a rattling noise now. Anyone got a replacement one? I got an Athlon 2000+. Was thinking of getting a heatsink/fan for a 3000+ for cooling/OCing purposes since Ill probably be getting a 2500+ soon.

    u could get an 80mm fan and a 80mm-to-60mm adaptor (looks like a funnel). It will be much quieter, and may even blow more air resulting in better cooling

    Fan adaptors work great to quiet things down as ROSSCO_2004 said but the fan turns way slower on the average 80mm fan (~2600 RPM). The airflow ends up to be about the same and thus about the same temps but quiet.

    I'm quite sure you could find the 60mm stock fans if you go to your local computer store.

    but after taxes and shipping and handling for a single fan i&#39;m sure you wouldn&#39;t save all that much&#33;
