3ivx Codec

I was just wondering whats the use of the 3ivX codec in the pack, it doesn't seem to decode anything on my PC.

DivX Decoder can decode the following FouCCs:
DIVX DX50 XVID DXM4 DVX1 DIV3 DIV4 DIV5 DIV6

3ivX Decoder can decode the following FouCCs:
DIVX DX50 XVID XVIX MP4V DIV3 DIV4 DIV5 DIV6 3IV1 3IV2 3IVD MP43 AP41 nAVI COL0 COL1 SAN3 BLZ0 RMP4 DM4V UMP4 MP4S M4S2 FVFW FFDS DMK2 DVX1 DVX3 DXM4 DX45

As you can see 3ivX Decoder can decode many FouCCs that DivX Decoder "can't".
But if you modify DivX Decoder's FilterData you can make it decode any MPEG-4 FourCC you want.I personally have unregistered every MPEG-4 Decoder,such as 3ivX Decoder,XviD Decoder,ffdshow and have changed DivX Decoder's FilterData in order to decode the following FourCC's:
DIVX DX50 XVID XVIX MP4V NDIG DIV3 DIV4 DIV5 DIV6 3IV1 3IV2 3IVD MP43 AP41 nAVI COL0 COL1 SAN3 BLZ0 RMP4 DM4V UMP4 MP4S M4S2 FVFW FFDS DMK2 DVX1 DVX3 DXM4 DX45
Every FourCC seems to be decodable correctly...

How on earth did you do that? I do believe your missing out though, the final final version of XviD, 1.01 is superb and for me the DivX filter can't decode XviD 1 releases properly (playback shudders).

Register DivX Decoder
Run divxdec-hack.exe and reboot.

Then DIVX DX50 XVID XVIX MP4V NDIG DIV3 DIV4 DIV5 DIV6 3IV1 3IV2 3IVD MP43 AP41 nAVI COL0 COL1 SAN3 BLZ0 RMP4 DM4V UMP4 MP4S M4S2 FVFW FFDS DMK2 DVX1 DVX3 DXM4 DX45 FourCCs will be decoded with DivX Decoder.

Uninstall it with divxdec-hack.uninst.exe

I'm using DivX Decoder 5.1.1 b1031
I have encoded 30 movies with XviD 1.0.0 and DivX Decoder decodes them perfectly.How many B-frames have you used?0, 1 , 2 or even more?
