Mine is faster loading etc than IE, and it has an email virus scanner, I don't have to open a seperate prog for email, I get notified instantly when I get an email, different pages are accessable and lined up the side of my screen, I have a revolving IP

i think youve falllen for the aol lies. nothing makes the internet go faster other than a physical upgrade. i cant imagine an aol probably spyware ridden browser can work better than a homegrown microsoft internet browser

No you can just connect using AOL then use MSIE but the loading icon will be the AOL logo instead of the earth thingy
No, I ment without installing their software at all. Just put in your dial-up number username/password kind of thing. I am trying to do this on a friends computer and it does not seem to work.

The only way around this i think is to install AOL then you can make a direct connection with your modem.
Thats how i get around it.

Like Jonno, i have AOL here in the UK, and have no problem with it.

What are you talking about AOL has no spyware,

I've tried connecting through the Microsoft dial-up network to AOL but hasn't worked for me at all.
