Ya I wonder what they mean by "AOL 9.0 Optimized"
and for the people who want to argue "hey you never used AOL how do you know it sucks" I had and I have used AOL 9
Ohh noo!!! I make dribbles!!!
I've used AOL, why the fuck does it come with its own fucking POS broswer, and its hell getting it to work like a normal ISP (dialup with dialup networking then use internet epxlorere or something).
You mean connecting to AOL using PPP. It should work I think. Why would any ISP force you to use some software that can only run on a very limited nunber of OS and make it impossible to connect with other devices. (i.e a dreamcast)Originally posted by ROSSCO_2004@19 June 2004 - 23:39

I've had AOL since 4.0 and I can't cancel the account because my parents are alittle slow and think it's cheaper than broadband. But in a year I will be in college and have a good broadband connection.
Can you tell me if you really have to use their software?Originally posted by dsa16@20 June 2004 - 01:14

No you can just connect using AOL then use MSIE but the loading icon will be the AOL logo instead of the earth thingy
