Its a Maxtor 200GB and it has been replaced becuase last one broke down. But i am not getting involved with all that crap. Whats a bad temp for a P4 3.20Gz Processor just for i know
A bad temp would be one that is so high as to cause system instability/random reboots, etc.
Your temps seem quite acceptable to me.

36 is very good temp, anything under 50 is what you want. In 50 is not harmful but you could make it lower, 60-70 is bad. Around 85 i tihnk is the highest you can go before it will overheat. Doon't let it get that high.Originally posted by angel_of_death57@20 June 2004 - 09:44

Your temps are great.
SOmething thats a bit od my CPU fan is not speeding up when i go on demanding things, also i do not understand speedfan.
The fan speed will go up if the teperature goes up, not just cause u open something demanding.Originally posted by angel_of_death57@20 June 2004 - 09:54

If the temp goes above vertain levels, the motherboard gives a higher voltage to the fn, making it speed up.
Have you checked the "automatically varieated" box for your CPU fan?
If you don't tell Speedfan to change the speed ( and set the parameters for the change) then it WON'T.

Well speed is 1722RPM and Temp at 43'C
It was at 50'C and speed was the same
What motherboard do you have.
SpeedFan worked flawlessly on my Asus board, but is useless with my ABIT, so I stopped using it.

Strange, I can't get Speedfan to work at all on my Asus board.Originally posted by clocker@20 June 2004 - 15:21

Edit: with respect to fan control that is.
