Set First Frame For Video File?

Hey all, have a load of music videos and am hoping someone can explain how to do something quite simple to me. All I want is to be able to select a frame of a video file and select that to be frame 1 so when thumbnail view is enabled while browsing a folder I can see that clip I selected. Want this as it'll make things look a hell of a lot better and being a family pc, I'd rather select my own 'thumbnail pic' in replacement of the models used from some companies who release the videos for download.
