    OK:

the fsb at stock speeds of everything (cpu, ram, motherboard) will be 333mhz. If you want to OC, the multiplier is probably locked, so you are limited to FSB ocing only. To do this you just increase it from 333 to like 340 or 350 or osmething and the cpu speed will go up. You can keep doing that. You are guaranteed that the ram will be able to take speeds all teh way up to 440mhz, but the cpu and motherboard will most likely not make it this far.

ok so if i just wanted to oc the ram
i cant do that i have to oc the fsb
witch also has the cpu and the ram
on it so it would mess with both
so to oc the ram to 440 it would
push my cpu passed the oc limit?
    is that right?

yes, you can also change some ratios or something like that which makes the ram run faster than the fsb of the cpu, not sure how it works but people say it doesn't affect teh speed at all anyway, sometimes it is worse.

so most likely my best beat would be
to just get some ddr400 ram?
and if i was to oc get ddr420 or
    somthing like that?
so that way i can oc to max out the
ram and cpu to a safe level
