I would assume you are correct, however if you would list a few of the movies that are giving your problems we would be able to better analyze your situation.

Sorry to say this, but [TMD] movies are just plain crap. Not worth the download from what I have seen.
I used to download TMD movies (many of them), but I deleted them all when I got a good look at DIVX and XVID quality movies.
Quite amazing. I think the best example of DIVX is "Monsters Inc."

ye Monster inc quality is perfect
tmd movies i have hha dalso , they speak faster .. they speak and then the part comes up thatthey rea;llly should have spoke
just pause then resume fixs this

I've installed the new k-lite codeck pack
and movies such as:
[tmd]equilibrium.(eso).limited.ts.(1of2)
[tmd]the.recruit.(hjs).ts.(1of2)
Go very fast... so what is the problem?
