For example, IE works fine for me... and has for 10 years now. I am not going to use Firefox no matter how many people (5 I think it was) suggested previously that my browser was to blame for two different problems. IE is and was not the problem.
Ha, i was one of them (lol).

We weren't telling you to change broswer ffs, we told you that like amillion times in that thread, we only wanted you to see if it was a problem with IE (not that it couldn't be fixed, just that it was not your internet connection or something like that, but that it was IE causing the problem.)

hey well done for stating the blindingly obvious. more information is better for problem solving? no shit.

people are different. this forum would be boring if everyone did as you suggest, more efficient perhaps, but boring. this forum isn't mechanical like that, it has a certain amount of personality and not too much rigidity - a lot of people like it like that.

IE works fine for me... and has for 10 years now.
your dad let you on his 386 when you were two years old? good for him!

now shut up and stop being so condescending.

yet another reason not to use Nero.

yeah, that whole Nero thing is kinda wierd. It does that for me, too. I always see hidden files in Nero that are never in my folders. Although, most of the time, I CAN see those files if I choose to do the whole "show system files" thing. But, oh well, glad your problem's sorted.

@ manker

Yes... blindinlgy obvious, you have found dictionary.com

If it was so obvious, then people would not be suggesting things that are of no value, that need not be checked into. (Check the other threads as peat moss suggested if you must... but you are firm in your views apparently)

Watch closely and you may learn something... I made that statement because there are plenty of people here who take suggestions--as face--value--spoken word--correct thing to do--100% of the time. Translation (They are sheep bahhhhh, they will do what the first person says, without looking a little deeper) I do know better, and surely would hope you do as well.

I am just making a suggestion. No more, no less, about something pertaining to what was said, and what can be done in the future here to avoid unnecessary comments as (unamed person... not you!!&#33

I do agree with you on the statement that people are different.... which is blindingly obvious, so don't you think it is a tad hypocritical of you to tell me to not to say things that are obvious when you plainly are doing it yourself? HUH??

Ok enough of that. Anyway, sure, if you believe I am 12 because of the 2 year old and 386 thing... then I just say "whatever" But I think it was failed attempt at some poor humor in an attempt to get a rise out of me. It hasn't. I want to be liked and liked... no need dislike anyone or even worse.. hate. It is pointless. I just want people to understand my position... and if I am wrong in stating something, then say so in a productive way. I am an adult and so are I would say 60 percent of the people on here... but sometimes it seems rightly different.

Cheers

@Rossco

Rossco... I meant nothing in the other thread other than I knew the problem was not IE related. I am fully aware you were one of the people suggesting using Firefox... but I stand firm on not using it. IE was not and is not the problem. If it so happens that you prefer FF then great, I am happy it works for you. IE is fine for me... and not the problem. But thanks for clearing that up. I didnt want to have you flame as well. I know you are bigger than that anyhow.

Fancy this no-brainer of a thread is still alive. "omg wtf!!!!111 my PC has generated some .db files"

I'd be here all day pointing out why this musical guy is a complete arse but instead I'd like to mention that Peat Moss hasn't been around since this thread started up. I PM'ed him and think it's cause he feels partly responsible for the argument, although IMO he wasn't in the slightest.

Peat is a great member, has a good knowledge base and is up with rossco for being generally helpful.

so in closing:
