there are no options in the bios but is it bad to use a program like clock gen to increase the FSB just a little to say 2800 speeds

Why do you think you need to overclock?
Is that PC not fast enough?
What do you use the computer for?

Jeez VB, you Canadians are soooo practical.
Stunned by the cold, methinks.

<insert appropriate Sir Edmond Hillary quote here...>

If one doesn't push the machine to the ragged edge how will one ever get to see those charmingly incomprehensible Microsoft error messages

and learn to deal with constant instability and crashes?

You guys just don't know how to LIVE!

@Onyx,
I have a suggestion for you.
Let's raise the ante a bit, shall we?
Try overclocking and undervolting at the same time.

That should keep you busy and result in a giant thread you can call your very own.

Wrong you are, sir.

It's slightly more difficult to do, but if you can you'll have the best of both worlds- high speed and low temps.

I wouldn't tell you to try something that could harm your machine.
That would be cruel.

More like Rossco, really.
