    i have been using a plugin for 3d max, called afterburn for sometime now and recently i had to reinstall 3D max.. now whenever i try to use the plugin i get an error saying that the window service DCPFLICS needs to be started.. however i am unalbe to start it


    it just stops whenever i start it.. how can i stop this happening?

    uninstall the plugin then install it again?

    tried 7 or 8 times now

    edit, i just need to know how to keep the service running

    Copy the files for teh plugin to a new folder (copy not cut), then make a shortcut to the new copy of the dcpflics file and put that into your startup folder in teh startmenu.

    Then restart...should work now...

    i removing all of 3D max and all the plugins, then hopefully the service program should be removed when i restart my pc.. then i will try and install it all again

    still wont work


    how can i remove the service or get it to stay on? when i try running the program C:/program files/dcpflics/DCPFLICS.exe nothin happens either

    NP.

    although that is wierd that it worked that way if it didn't work manually starting the program yourself.

    oh well, who cares, if it works, ir works.
