If I Remove Indexing Service...

Im using XP lite. I've removed pretty much evreything in XP already, and i want to remove more lol. If i take out teh indexing service what is going to happen to my computer?

edit: oops, can a mod move this to software world? im too used to clicking into hardware world lol.

i removed the indexing service, they say on www.tweakxp.com that its supposed to speed up your comp but it do much of anything

I would appear it removes those languages from XP knowledge so it wont be able to convert to english.

Rossco if you search for file's alot mabey it would help to keep .

Indexing service speeds ups searches when you use windows search thing.
I suggest you serioulsy disable it to speed up yourr pc
and if you wanna do Ultra Fast searches for files etc then either use:

X1 (very good, super fast, simple-file searcher)
DTSearch Desktop (more advanced)

Yep Zedaxax I always disable, Indexing service its not something I ues a lot, But never noticed a difference either way.

You guys all (except for singaboiy) think im an idiot...i have it disabled, it was a part i added to my guide, saying it should be removed. I know exactly what it does, only reason I am asking if it is "uninstallable (not disabled, i ahve it disabled) is becuase when i went to uninstall it i got that error message (in my first post) which is why i am unsure if i should take it off or not....

What is XP Knowledge (knowledge base? teh online thing?)? and what\why does it need to convert to english?

please explain this a little better...
