that kind of links are not alowed.
#1 nsane most likely will add the HOSTS file as it is useful.
#2 What do you mean, by: Slows down the computer ? T
The SVCHOST.EXE consuming up to 99% of CPU time ? True, it does, however after a minuter or two the CPU usage, by SCVHOST.EXE, drops completely.
#3 And besides, even though the HOSTS file is added to the installer, the instalation of it is up to you.
2.4.5.3 released, see first post for details
I have an error when I click on the installer (WinMe):
See the screen here.
Perhaps the installer isn't compatibile with WinME
the installer doesn't works for me neither (using windows xp pro sp1)
Hey nsane,
Thanks again for another update. I have noticed an error in the installation process of 2.4.5.3 that was also in 2.4.5.2. Even if a person selects to "Update from the methlabs.org blocklist", it doesn't put the correct data in the updater.ini file. It puts the link for the bluetack.co.uk link in there instead. Also, changes are made to the Kazaa Lite K++ Options and the KL Extensions Options and the other tools that come with Kazaa Lite K++. The installer works for me and I'm using 98 SE. The link for the methlabs.org blocklist is http://www.methlabs.org/sync/guarding.p2p.zip
Changing the options back to my preferences isn't that annoying though
The MP3 Shield's updater works now as well.
Happy downloading
thats weird, i think it may be another bug in inno
here's my script for the ini, anybody see anything wrong?
Code:[INI] Filename: {app}\updater.ini; Section: main; Key: PGdbUrl; String: http://methlabs.org/sync/guarding.p2p.zip; Components: ipblockupdater methlabs Filename: {app}\updater.ini; Section: main; Key: url1; String: http://methlabs.org/sync/guarding.p2p.zip; Components: ipblockupdater methlabs Filename: {app}\updater.ini; Section: main; Key: PGdbUrl; String: http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/antip2p.txt; Components: ipblockupdater bluetack Filename: {app}\updater.ini; Section: main; Key: url1; String: http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/antip2p.txt; Components: ipblockupdater bluetack Filename: {app}\updater.ini; Section: main; Key: BannedIPFile; String: {app}\BannedIPs\BannedIpRanges.txt; Components: ipblockupdater
i think you made it compatible with win98 but no with 2000/me/xp
