Thread: Bt Help

    everytime i want click on a torrent it wont let me open it to start the torrent it downloads the fiel then it says that it doesnt know what type of file it is. and it can not open.


    it wont even start the download.

    can anyone help

    yeah make sure u have a bt client installed
    it shouldnt say that

    im using the bit torrent 3.4.2. ive been meaning to try azerus but havent got to it.

    and yes it's installed.


    EDIT :: okay so i just uninstalled it and am trying azerus, i hope this works.


    any thoughts on why it wasnt working?

    You have to remeber where you saved the torrent file.
    Then there should be a command for import torrent in one of the menus of whatever client you are using. You will have to go to where you saved the torrent to and manually open it.

    If you don't know where it was saved to, in windows just hit start/search/ and look for the exact name of the torrent. And pay more attention next time you try.

    Just right click, open with , check always use this program, and browse to your client.

    for some reason the program wasn't associated with the files. in one client i know of you have to tell it to associate with the file type before it will automatically open them.
