Mp3/wav To Cellphone Ringtone?

I have an N-Gage (no flames please) which can support TrueTone ringtones and MP3s... I have an MP3 I can compress down to 100kb/s so I can MMS it to myself, but when I do, it says "Unknown File Format" How can I convert this MP3 to a format which I can use as a ring-tone?

Thing is, I'd like the tune to sound like the real MP3, not a midi... I tried recording it from my PC with my phone and it sounds a little bit below decent, but I'm using it
