From Solutions Review
What is ONSPEED? ONSPEED accelerates downloading from most websites by compressing webpage contents with a powerful context-sensitive compression developed for the military. When Internet Explorer is asked to download a certain webpage eg. www.cnn.com, the ONSPEED application on your computer will request the content from via ONSPEED's servers. Its transparent to the user, but the reduction on download time for most web-pages will be certainly be noticed.
Where does ONSPEED work? ONSPEED is a 3,5MB installation and it will accelerate Internet Explorer downloading using any connection to the internet - 56K dialup, mobilephone via GPRS and GSM, ADSL and cable too. ONSPEED will speed up both web browsing and emails download.
Where ONSPEED does not work? ONSPEED does not speed up downloading of MP3s, video files, flash and shockwave files and also access to secure pages ( due to security reasons ).If you have a firewall, you will need to have ports 8080, 8025, 8110 open.
How well does ONSPEED work? Tests using download timers like www.toast.net/performance and www.us.mcafee.com/root/speedometer.asp, ONSPEED did managed to reduce download times for most webpages significantly, even with pages screaming in close to 195kbps with just a 56K dialup modem! Using very effective compressiong algorithsm, ONSPEED managed to provide drastic reduction in download times - without caching like many other 'download accelerating ISPs' out there.
So, who should get ONSPEED? ONSPEED's technology works on texts, emails, images, webpage layouts very well - but - it does not compress MP3s, videos and flash files. If you are on dialup or worse, mobile GPRS, and need to really spend less time downloading emails and web browsing, we recommend ONSPEED. ONSPEED works best from the UK - to reduce latency ONSPEED's UK servers.
Then again you could just use sarcasm, rather than doing any actual research, or accepting that new developments are being made all of the time.

you can't make 56k faster, you can only cache sites you visit often, IDK about you, but 99% of the sites I visit are dynamic (change every day/hour for that matter)

It doesn't cache on your hard drive, you are assuming that without actually reading any of the stuff.
Please have a look at what people are writing about the system, rather than just assuming you know What it does and proclaiming that it does not work. In spite of the fact that well respected magazines and websites say that it does, whilst explaining it's limitations.
