I'm surprised about the ban but then again I'm not.

If I get put on moderation and start other accounts the same would happen to me.

I don't have the support of the board nor do I care to.

Sam was not banned for an arguement, he was banned for trying to circumvent moderation.

Since when are rules changed for one person?
It sounds like they should when he is a "spam friend".

It sounds like he should have delt with moderation and called it a day.

I've heard that he meant no ill will because he announced it was him when he used another account.
Well.....that circumvents the rules and also slaps of stupidity for announcing it.

edit: I will say that if he only made one acoount to find out why he was on moderation that maybe a ban is over the top. I read Nikki saying you can't PM when on moderation?

Is this true? If it is and no mod PM'ed him to tell him what he's on moderation for, then this whole thing is illogical and a TRAVESTY AND A SHAM AND A MOCKERY...it's aTRAVESHAMOCKERY!!

Otherwise he can burn in banhell!!

He made the second account purely to find out what happened, not for malicious intent or to "circumvent" the moderation, I beleive as far as he was concerned he had no idea why he was moderated and wanted to find out why. With no other means of contacting the moderators/admin responsible, he made the second account.

I do not see why this is a bannable offense.

Through the week's suspension he has not posted after he found out what was going on

Thing is, making an account, not to post, but to figure out what has happened isn't the same thing as trying to circumvent a moderation.

Hell, if I had no idea why I couldn't log on the board I might do the same.

If someone is put on moderation for being an ass and then creates another account to get past this to carry it on then fair enough ban them.

This has happened to Gungrave and the infamous Internet.news in the past.

But this is not what sam set out to do.

Saying that this is the reason for banning a valued member is an absolute cop-out from those on the modding team who have decided sam be banned.

The circumvention of moderation was months ago - he revealed that himself last week. None of us ever caught it as he was posting through a proxy.

His account was not on moderation this time - it was temporarily suspended until the decision could be made. A suspended account cannot log into the board at all, let alone send PM's. As far as I know, at the time it happened, he did NOT receive a message stating that his account had been suspended, even if he had, he would not have been able to log in and see it. He created one account at the time to find out what happened, and since then has not used ANY account to post on this board.
