I'm looking for a good AGP Graphic Card as I've just bought a new powerful machine.
A young friend of Mine recommended -> PowerColor Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB DDR AGP (I've a Soltek Mini Barebone)

Anyone here has this card? Or know anything about it?
    All replies are much appreciated

    TIA,
    BOT

Bot nice card , I always wondered about the built by ATI and powered by ATI tho. I have an 9700 pro . If bigdawg would get back from holidays and update his pinned guide we 'd all be better for it.

Yeah, why not try the pinned guide.

Doesn't powercolour pretty much use the reference design from ATi without hardly any changes to the design?

Should be stable with any drivers ATi might put out, as it's the design they primarily make and test the drivers for if so.

They price is very good too, I helped my brother get a new one earlier, and that's one of the brands we seriously considered.

It doesn't set any records, or overclock itself, but it does the job it's made for.

    EDits:
If you want the best in the 9800 range you should go with an 9800xt tho'

But since you have a smaller barebone, a 9600xt doesn't perform as well, but it may be a better choice because of it's lower temps and voltages. It's what I'd buy for mine.

And go with a 256 Mb one if you can, 128 is soo last year.

Doesn't the 256MB one use DDR3 memory or something?

I thought they hadn't sorted out the interface for that yet, so it runs slower.

I thought they had on the xt's at least, but now I'm uncertain.

@lynx I did j/k I said it was a great guide, but I was recommended to start a new thread

@SnnY Thanks a lot for the info, however 128 is enough for Me.
I checked some computer stores today but none of them had this card
I think I'll have to buy it online....

    cheers,
