I am going to buy ZoneAlarm and want to ask a question that hopefully someone will know.
And before any1 says something, I like it cause the Expert rules allow me to configure alotta stuff and basically I'm so used to it I can't be bothered trying anything else.
And I don't like using false serials on stuff that always online.
So....
I am buying it but a friend and I want to buy it between us, and therefore obviously share a serial number. Is there any major problem in this? On the site it trys to get you to pay double for 2 serials for 2 users (like any company will do I suppose) but there isn't any fancy activation is there? It should work on 2 separate computers fine shouldn't it?
Thanks for the advice.

Buy It? Well I guess we have to support the author some how. Why don't you try the free one? I have pro but have never really bothered to use some of its features . I use other programs for those .

Thanks,
Yea, I've tried the Basic one but I need the Expert Rules specifically for what I use it for. And as I said I don't like using Keygen's etc on Software that always has internet access. Unless I get Kerio or something to stop ZA accessing the net .
I think we could both use the valid one fine, it's usually when loads of people share a serial that something goes wrong.
Hope so anyways.

Well I know that serial number is your license to use that software and sharing it would be against the terms of use of that software.

I don't get what you mean?
I don't want to use a fake/illegal serial,.... period.
I want to buy a legit one and use it on two computers. And I know that "technically" it's against T&Cs, but I don't see it as being a big deal. I ain't worried about that, just about whether their is any process of registering a serial that would prevent it working on 2 computers.
As for ZA not accessing the internet, who actually knows what it's doing unless someone moniters their outgoing packets 24/7.
Does the free Sygate have the advanced features?
Thanks
