Thread: Temp Readers.

    just got a new FX5600 by nvidia, whats a good program to read its temps and overclock the card?

    for the temps it either says it somewhere in the drivers or try using motherboard monitor 5.

    to oc it:
    start>run>regedit>browse to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak
    and right click the blank area on right> click new dword vaule:
    name: coolbits
    value: 3

    then when u want to OC the card right click desktop>properties>settings>advanced>click the geforce fx 5600 tab at the top>then on left side click clock frequencies and off you go.

    i see everything you mean but there is no clock frequencies in that menu?


    can see anything about graphics cards in MBM5

    the clock frequencies is hidden until you do that registry tweak...

    i get it now, i can overclock, now i just need to know how to see my GFX card temps

    Unless your card has it's own temp display (like ATI's Overdrive) then I don't know how you can read temps from software.
    MBM5 won't do it.

    how do i find out if it has a sensor?

    ya i thoguht all nvidia cars in the fx series, except for the 5200, all have temp sensors...

    could be wrong.

    just a sec ill google it.
