check your graphics card and any other PCI cards.
they may have come loose during the move.

check for any loose wires connected to the pc tower, if any are loose put them properly from the back, eg your graphics card
If it does it regularly, hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and check the 'Processes' tab and watch for apps that might be hitting the comp with high CPU loads. I had some spyware that caused this prob. The CPU would hit 100% for a sec or so and cause the comp to 'skip' like that. If that's the prob, just get AD-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, install and update them both and do a full scan.
This is, of course, if you've added any apps or done any surfing since you went over to yer buds house. Also, if yer networked, yer bud may have given you a virus. Unlikely if his/hers isn't acting up, but remotely possible. Do a virus scan. None of thes will hurt and can only help anyway..
The above posts are more likely to be the answer to yer dilema. It's probably a loose connection with a card or a cable, but you never know.
