lol, unlucky you.
You can try reposistioning the tray (looking at the end to see if it matches up with the drive then you a firm strength to push it back in.
(its like one of those messages, ummm I just turned round and there's a hole in my monitor. What should I do?).

Have you tried inserting an unfolded paper clip into the small hole on the CD drive's front panel?
This looses up the mechanism and allows to move the drive tray.

I just looked at it at ground level, and it is slanted to the left
