Peer Guardian is meant for that, and also get ZoneAlarm

btw whos your isp?
what the hell would ZA do that his router cant????

btw, if your gonna get a software firewall, get a good one like sygate..... dont stick with something like ZA cause its easy to use [/b][/quote]
I haven't found anything that I would want to do that ZA can't do and Sygate can.

And Sygate is such a pain to configure most people can't be sure they've got it right, and probably haven't.

While that situation continues Sygate will never be a viable alternative to the more popular commercially available packages.

Don't knock ZA because it is easy to use, that's just plain dumb.

Agreed.

I tried zone alarm once when I was just experimenting with windows and basic firewalls and that damn program had my whole pc locked down.

What's worse, I had other network devices going through mine so they couldn't access anything either. After I read the docs I got it working and set aside from the nagging prompts I got when something tried to access anything, it was a pretty good program.
