Hey. I use AOL with DSL, and I get no pop ups from AOL. But when I am surfing a lot of times pop ups come from IE. Is there anyway to disable IE, or any other suggestions?

honestly, i would stop using aol's browser anyway, and use firefox or IE with google toolbar / some popup blocker, but i bet the pop ups are from spyware anyway so they aren't pop ups from surfing. So i would also get a spyware remover adaware and spyware blaster

I wouldn't recommend removing ie unless you know for sure you won't need it. But you can remove it with xp lite.

His computer runs so slow with IE...You have to use AOL for it to be very fast at all..its wierd.

You have to be desperate to have Aol. Internet explorer has pop-up blocker which works fine.
I wouldnt remove it, I want to disable it at times and enable it at other times
Is there a way????

From ad/remove programs choose "ad/remove windows components" and from that uncheck the radio button beside IE icon and go next. IE will disapear, but will not completely uninstall. Use at ur peril.
