If I get on a fast torrent on BT then I can download a gig in an hour...unfortunately 'cos I have a shitty upload I spend the rest of the day seeding the same file...so it kind of defeats the object for me.

how can you max out the speed? it seems mine is only 5kb/s, so it takes one or two days to download a movie. I am using high speed interent , can get files from websites at 300-400kb/s. why????????

are you behind a firewall or a router and not opened a port for it?

I don't know , i checked the internet connection, it seems the firewall is unabled. I don't know how to open a port and the speed seems better now, sometimes goes to 20kb/s

Check the line from the cable modem and see if it goes into a box called a router and sends a cable to your pc. If not then go Start > Control Panel > Network Connections. Right-click local area network and select Properties. Go to Advanced and uncheck the box.
