Yes, "electronic" would apply to most of the recommendations within this thread.
I would offer however that there is a difference...to me "Techno" means taking a
standard song and updating it with a Techno....could even be called a Disco
kinda sorta....beat.

Most of the songs recommended in this thread fall into the "electronica" category.
Which is very fine also....very listenable (is that a word??). I like the sound.

Ok, now let me throw out a couple of suggestions of some oldies that have been remade into a "Techno" beat....
("SLAM&#33;&#33;&#33;&#39;....is that the sound of the door slamming as the younger folk in this thread leave the room???)

The above page has recomendations, myself im a huuuuge breakbeat fan, if you fancy a listen do a search for names like plump DJs, Hybrid, FreQ Nasty, BLIM, Rennie Pilgrem, lee Combs etc
