Dvd Burning Software, Please?

What program do I need to burn DVDs that I get from Blockbuster to a DVD and which one do I need to burn AVI files from my computer that I got from Kazza to a playable DVD that I can watch on my TV. I have downloaded program after program and can't seem to find one that works!

for copying protected DVD's use DVD Shrink 3.2 (free prog)

for converting avi's to a DVD, an easy to use program is "Nerovision Express 2"
