can we give this a thought guys? i really support this idea and that it will give us, the users of this forum (members) have some options about our user setthings. I don't really care about having loads of stars, but give this option a thought.....

Lets be logical here. There is an inherent problem with this idea that strongly counteracts the efforts to lighten the workload on the mods. They would have to approve every single one, then people would want to change them, blah blah blah. I would fear the day this is allowed if I was a mod. The pm possiblities are terrifying.

If we have to change at all here is my suggestion.

New Member 0 - 99
Junior Member 100 - 199
Full Member 200 - 499
Experienced Member 500 - 999
Senior Member 1000

With a 1 to 5 star system.

Make them mean something. Mods to use their power to disallow posts which are spam or drivel. "Agreed" etc to be allowed, if it is appropriate, in context.

What About This

Why not get STARS for how long you have been here, that way after a certain period of time say 3 months or so the Mods can review a percentage of your posts and see how helpfully to the Forum you have been ie (Posting Verified Hashes, Problem Solving, General Information,etc etc.)
Yes i no some of you have been here since the start, and maybe you should have a head start of a star or so to keep you happy.

This way people would'nt post $hit (spam) just to get a star or a title.
Alot of people see another title higher (K-Lite Board God) like a finish line ahead with tape (495 posts ) what can i put to get another post, i no that will do (496).

Just an Idea, alot of people post Problems within Discussions, why not add another room something like Advise and Help, you have Verifieds in a Can, Verified Hashes, and Requests.
This would be alot clearer to Newcomers and Members on where to post
It would save you Guys and Girl Sorry Lady , upstairs moving topic's around as much.

Do posts REALLY matter that much, just cause someone has the status K-Lite Board God does'nt mean they no everything, if Bill Gates came on here as a Newcomer would you not take his advise ?

to every step, we must form a rule and a law that would make the mods work lessen.

for every change, a rule is made to make it easier, better for the mods and other users of this forum. if you wanted to be .."logical".

11-50 KL-Rookie (2 Stars)
51-100 KL-User (3 Stars)
101-500 Experienced User (4 Stars)
501-1000 Guru (5 Stars)
1001-2500 Supreme Beeing (6 Stars)
2501-5000 Post Whore (7 Stars)
5001-9999 Supreme KL Master / Super Spammer (8 Stars)
10,000+ Complete Board Junkie

As I suggested, I'm for the 4 star ranking system. But the number of posts to reach the next star must be discussed first. The titles are also open for suggestions

Just an idea:
- 0-99 - 1 star (Newcomer)
- 100-499 - 2 stars (K-Lite Regular)
- 500-1500 - 3 stars (An Experienced Member)
- 1500+ - 4 stars (???)
- Admins and Mods - 5 stars

2500, hmm seems reachable... 5000+ , I&#39;m not that crazy.

Anyways I probably see:

Change System of the current = Makes some happy, other complain
Take away everything = Makes some happy, other complain

Basically, I think there will always be a complaint to something done.
