    really it only has a 12v supply to it. Its a 17" LCD

    I know about caps they store up electricity. Well like i said i am taking back to store i got it from.

    I cannot belive it these harvest bugs get into everything picture frames they take ove the most. Just my luck that it gets inside PC screen.

    oh it's an lcd, ok that is take-apartable (i think).

    im lucky i don't have any of them here mine is a crt, and not under warranty.

    LCD's are nice but CRT are better quality picture i think. And CRT are better priced. Bu i do not have room on my PC table for a CRT

    My Computer teacher told me how to take the current out of a CRT. You have to get a metal thing long enought to touch some metal on the CRT. Then, on the back of the tube theres like a little sucktion cup. You have to slide the other end of the metal under that and let it run to the metal.

    Hes done it plenty of times in front of me and I've done it once....but im still really scared haha

    you are right about opening monitors up, DONT

    LCD is a lil diffrent, thats not dangerous (nothing in an LCD needs that high a voltages), but if you still have warranty on it, DONT........ just take it back.....
